Shirley is Qualitative Research Lead and Health Behavior Change Specialist at Noora Health. With experience working in social behavior change projects in India, Guyana, and the United States, she leverages health theories and design to develop desired services and programs. Previously, she supported Breakthrough ACTION Guyana, a USAID funded social behavior change project focused on improving malaria care seeking behaviors among gold miners in Guyana. Within India, she managed a narrative based research project, focused on how adolescents in Lucknow, India, view gender, and sexual and reproductive health. She is interested in how design, behavior change, and global development can be used to elevate community voices and make more just solutions. Shirley has a MSPH in social and behavioral interventions from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a BA in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
