Miguel Alvarado is Lumiata’s Chief Technology Officer. He is responsible for "all things" technology, including engineering and data science. Miguel is playing an instrumental role in continuing to productize and industrialize the Machine Learning capabilities that Lumiata has designed, built and delivered in the marketplace.

Miguel brings 20+ years of experience building and delivering software products and platforms. These have ranged from B2B to B2C products, covering diverse spaces such as media and entertainment, healthcare and payments. Over the last 10 years, Miguel has had a specific focus on data platforms which have scaled and democratized data, analytics and machine learning for a broad range of uses cases.

Miguel has built and grown teams within companies of varying sizes, from small businesses to large companies like Intel and Verizon. Most recently, Miguel comes from Vevo where he built a team that delivered a data and analytics and machine learning platform to power capabilities for internal product teams and consumer-facing data products.
