Liz Margolies, LCSW, founder and executive director of the National LGBT Cancer Network, has served the LGBT community for over 40 years as a psychotherapist, political activist and volunteer. Based in NYC, the Network is the first and only national program addressing the needs of LGBT people with cancer and those at risk, focusing on education, training, advocacy and support. Liz serves on the Advisory Committee of many national cancer organizations and has published multiple articles about her research on LGBT people with cancer. She is also a psychotherapist in private practice, specializing in trauma, loss, health disparities and sexuality. In 2014, Liz was chosen as one of the OUT100 for her work in the LGBT community.
