Health Hats
Patient/Caregiver activist
A patient/caregiver activist
learning with people traveling together toward best health, advising on what works for people in their health journey: informed decision-making, patient-centered research, communication at transitions of care, and technology supporting solutions created by and for people.
Danny, known as Health Hats, wears many hats in healthcare:
patient with Multiple Sclerosis,
care partner for several family members’ end-of-life journeys, a
nurse for 40+ years, an
informaticist, a
QI leader, a
mentor to leaders and advocates, a weekly blogger and podcaster for more than seven years at
www.health-hats.com/pod. He works with AHRQ, PCORI, NAM, NQF and other alphabet soup. At one point in Danny’s recent odyssey, he was a patient, a caregiver, a boss of caregivers, and in the C-suite, all at the same time. He’s survived a bit worse for wear.
