Workshop: Writing For Health Literacy (Workshop Ticket Required)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

While healthcare is increasing complex, health literacy remains low. When people are stressed and scared they need us the most. They need simple, not complex. They need usable, not confusing. Healthcare literacy is our job to ensure people can navigate healthcare systems and their own wellbeing. It's a big responsibility, but one we can manage.

In this session we will:
  • look at examples of how health communication can be done well digitally
  • share methodologies and tools that improve health literacy in the digital sphere
  • discuss how to create readable, understandable, valuable content that improves patient health and well-being
  • answer questions on how to write for all levels of health literacy

Please come with your health literacy questions, links to articles or sites you’ve worked on, and problems you’d love to solve.
